Hi! I'm Jeanine Litwiller, and here is a peek into how we began!
It all started in 1993.
Our son was two and our daughter was starting kindergarten. I was a stay-at-home mom which I enjoyed, but I wanted to do something.
It was expensive to keep buying new clothes for the children. We thought we would take the consignment idea and do a trial run in Gibson City . . . consignment of children's clothing - infant to junior sizes. The idea was that if we can make it work for our family, it would help others as well.
Although there were a few shops around, back then, many people still didn't know what consignment was... We started in a small shop on 8th Street and were open hours with a consideration for school events. I was able to take the children to work with me which was very nice.
Things went very well, and we move to our current, larger location in 1996 at 108 N Sangamon. We now serve customers from a wide area - besides Gibson City, we see people from Fairbury, Champaign, Mahomet, Farmer City, Bellflower, Bloomington, Hoopston, Gilman, Onarga and the little towns in between.
We invite you to shop for your children's clothing... infant to teenager. Plus, we have high chairs, pack-n-plays, cribsets, bedding, toys, books... almost anything a child would need!
